It changed America because a lot of people that watched that movie enjoyed drama and that was another important element that was added to movies causing more controversy over dramatic situations and dramatic movies so a lot more movies were selling and a lot of other movies that have a lot more drama. Therefore, all movies needed action and drama in order to become kind of popular and sell well.
